Customs & Border Requirements
Since June 1, 2009, visitors from the U.S. are required to have passports or other approved ID such as Nexus cards to enter Canada. For more detailed information, please visit the US Dept of State Travel Information website, or the Canada Border Services Agency website.
Visitors from all other countries must have a valid passport, and some may need a visitor's visa, to enter Canada.
In the parklands on Niagara Parks property, animals are allowed only if they are kept under the owner’s immediate control at all times on a leash. Any cat, dog or other animal is not permitted to be within a designated public swimming area. Animals are not allowed to be taken in any building, attraction or ride, even if they are small enough to be carried in arms. The restrictions listed above do not apply to service animals, which are always welcome at Niagara Parks.
While in the Niagara Parks, visitors are respectfully asked to "Take Only Photographs, Leave Only Footprints" - therefore pet owners are asked to "stoop & scoop" to clean up after their pets. Niagara Parks has many preserved historic areas and sensitive environments containing bird and wildlife nesting grounds and protected plant species and would like to keep them protected.
